BiskioTerms of Use
1. Operator and Service
The Biskio app and related services are operated by Štěpán Kameník (an individual), contact stepan@mazlio.com (the “operator”). Biskio is a pet care app — health records, medications, reminders, a diary, documents and household sharing.
2. Account
- An account is required to use the app. Information you provide at registration must be accurate.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure; do not share access to your account.
- You can delete your account anytime in the app (Settings → Delete account).
3. Biskio Is Not a Veterinary Service
Biskio is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide veterinary diagnosis or treatment recommendations. All overviews, trends and AI summaries are informational only and do not replace professional care. Always consult a veterinarian about your pet's health; in an emergency, contact an emergency vet clinic.
4. Your Content
- Data, photos and documents you put into the app remain yours. You grant the operator only the technical licence necessary to store, back up, synchronise and display them to you and the household members you share them with.
- You must not upload content that violates the law or third-party rights.
5. Prohibited Use
- disrupting the operation or security of the service,
- automated access outside the app's published interface,
- impersonating another person or misusing another account.
6. Paid Features and Subscriptions
Biskio can be used without paying. Some features are available with a paid subscription, which you can buy in the app.
- Purchase and management: subscriptions are bought and managed solely through the App Store and are also governed by Apple's terms. Apple takes the payment — the operator neither processes nor has access to your payment details.
- Pricing and scope: the plans currently offered, their price in your local currency and the scope of paid features are always shown in the app before you complete the purchase.
- Free trial: where a plan offers one, its length is shown before purchase. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription automatically.
- Automatic renewal: the subscription renews for the same period until you cancel it. You can cancel anytime in your App Store account's subscription settings, at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Refunds: refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's own rules, because the payment was made there.
- When a subscription ends you do not lose your data — it stays available to you, including export; only the paid features become unavailable.
For animal care providers (vet practices, shelters, pet hotels) we offer plans invoiced outside the App Store; their scope and price are agreed individually — see Biskio for providers (in Czech).
7. Availability and Changes to the Service
The service is provided “as is”. We make every effort to keep it available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Features may evolve; we will give reasonable advance notice of any material limitation or discontinuation of the service so you can export your data.
8. Liability
The operator is not liable for harm resulting from decisions made based on information in the app (see Section 3), for data loss caused by circumstances beyond the operator's control, or for lost profits. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
9. Termination
The operator may restrict or terminate an account in case of a serious breach of these terms. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of the Czech Republic.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms; we will announce material changes in the app or on this website. By continuing to use the service after changes take effect, you accept them.
